British royalty met ballet royalty at the end of last year, as Mikhail Baryshnikov received the RAD’s highest honour at Buckingham Palace. The Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award is for those making a game-changing contribution to dance: Camilla, the Queen Consort, presented it to one of the 20th century’s defining classical dancers who continues to push the boundaries of performance in the 21st century.
